When it comes to creating a wedding day where no detail is overlooked, Alanah & Simon’s celebration at The Valley Estate, Currumbin Valley is the perfect example of refined, intentional design done beautifully.
Planned and styled to absolute perfection by Ivy Bleu Events, this monochrome wedding was the epitome of timeless elegance. From the very first “save the date” to the final cocktail hour details, every element worked together seamlessly. Creating a cohesive visual story that felt modern, luxurious and deeply considered.
As their chosen wedding stationery designer, we had the honour of creating Alanah & Simon’s complete stationery and signage suite, ensuring their wedding aesthetic flowed effortlessly from start to finish.
Set amongst the lush hinterland of Currumbin Valley, The Valley Estate provided the perfect backdrop for Alanah & Simon’s classic black-and-white colour palette. The monochrome styling allowed texture, typography and thoughtful details to shine, proving that timeless design never dates.
Every decision was intentional. Every detail was layered. And the result was a wedding that felt elevated, modern and enduring.
The stationery journey began with custom save the date invitations, setting the tone for what guests could expect.
We designed:
Embossed save the date invitations
A custom monogram, created exclusively for Alanah & Simon
Embossed envelopes featuring their monogram for a refined, tactile finish
Embossing adds a sense of luxury and craftsmanship that simply can’t be replicated digitally, perfect for couples wanting their stationery to feel truly special from the moment it’s received.

For the formal invitations, we created a bespoke wedding invitation suite that had it all.
This suite included:
A custom embossed sleeve
Letterpress wedding invitations, adding depth and texture
A hand-illustrated venue sketch of The Valley Estate
Die-cut elements to introduce soft, organic shapes within the structured monochrome palette
The combination of letterpress printing, embossing and die-cut details resulted in an invitation suite that felt both modern and timeless. A true reflection of Alanah & Simon’s vision.

For the wedding day itself, continuity was key. Every piece of on-the-day stationery and signage was designed to align seamlessly with the invitation suite and overall styling.
We created a white and black acrylic welcome sign featuring 3D acrylic lettering along with a freestanding double-panel seating plan, designed to make a statement while remaining elegant and functional. Positioned amongst lush floral installations and soft white blooms, these signage pieces became part of the visual landscape rather than simply functional elements.
For the reception tables, we designed Custom menus with matching place cards, Monogrammed ribbons, tied delicately around each napkin along with black and white wedding table numbers to suit.
Styled alongside layers of white florals and candlelight, these details elevated the tablescape and reinforced the cohesive monochrome aesthetic.
Even cocktail hour was thoughtfully styled, with custom stationery created to enhance the guest experience. This included Black acrylic drink tags, Custom monogram cocktail napkins and a bespoke bar menu, tying in seamlessly with the overall design.
A true focal point of the reception space was the custom acrylic backdrop sign we designed for the bridal table. Created in a refined white and black palette, the statement piece featured layered acrylic elements and dimensional lettering, adding depth and impact without overpowering the setting. Positioned in front of the bridal table and framed by lush white florals en masse, the backdrop became an integral part of the overall styling. Grounding the space while drawing the eye. More than just signage, it was a design feature that tied the stationery, florals and styling together, reinforcing the cohesive, considered aesthetic that defined Alanah & Simon’s timeless monochrome wedding.

Alanah & Simon’s wedding is a beautiful example of what’s possible when couples invest in a full wedding stationery and signage package rather than individual pieces. By designing everything together, from save the dates through to on-the-day details, we were able to create a wedding that felt intentional, cohesive and elevated.
With expert planning and florals by Ivy Bleu Events and the stunning hinterland setting of The Valley Estate, Currumbin Valley, this wedding was truly a masterclass in timeless monochrome styling.
