Wedding Stationery & Signage Timeline
The process for ordering everything from your Save The Date cards right through to your On the Day Signage & Stationery can be spread out across months or even years depending on how long your engagement to wedding timeline is.
We have put together an easy flow chart of a Wedding Stationery & Signage Timeline to keep you on track and to avoid missing out on ordering your favourite pieces for your big day.
Although we have outlined key dates, if you are wanting to order everything from your Engagement Party Signage to your On the Day Wedding Signage & Stationery with us, we do recommend you booking everything in on your first order with us to ensure availability for your wedding date.
01. Engagement Party
Order 2 months prior to your Engagement Party
You’re so excited planning your Engagement Party, be sure not to forget to order your Engagement Signage & Stationery around 2 months prior to your event. Common Engagement Party signage & stationery pieces include Engagement Welcome Sign, Acrylic Bar Menu, Food Menus and Engagement Invitation Suites if you decide to post these out.
02. Save The Date
Order these ASAP
You want to be ordering these as soon as your date and venue is locked in. The more time you can give your guests to prepare and lock in your date, the happier the crowd! Have your guest list ready to go with names and addresses and order some of our gorgeous Save The Date Cards and Envelopes to Match! There... first thing ticked off your list!
03. Wedding Invitation Suites
Order 6 months prior to your wedding date
By now you’ve got a good indication on who is and who isn’t coming now. We recommend ordering your Wedding Invitation Suite around 6 months out from your Wedding Date. This will allow enough time for us to create these perfect pieces for you and for you to be aiming to deliver/send them out at least 4 months prior to your Wedding Date.
When setting your RSVP date – you want to set this at around 6 weeks from your wedding date to allow enough time to get any last minute RSVP’s in and get your seating plan created and sent to us.
Your Wedding Invitation Suite usually contains your Wedding Invitation, Details Card and Envelope to suit your theme. Be sure to include at least 10 spare invitations, detail cards and envelopes for back up in case you have some last-minute guests. Have a look at our online gallery for some inspo!
04. On The Day Wedding Signage & Stationery
Order 2 months prior to your wedding date
YOUR RSVP’s are in – Hooray!! This is where you want to place your order for all of the Wedding signage & Stationery items you want on the day.
Don’t forget to include your Wedding Welcome Sign, Wedding Seating chart, Bar Menu, Menus for your guests, place cards, acrylic wishing well and any other wedding signage you may want for the day – We’ve covered the basics here but the list is endless really!
We would require your Wedding Signage & Stationery wording and guest list by 5 weeks prior to your Wedding Date.
05. Pre Wedding-Events – Hen’s & Bucks, Bridal Shower, Rehearsal Dinner etc
Order 2 months prior to your event date
Don’t forget about these dates too! Often, we have last minute MOH’s requesting signage and stationery for the Bridal Shower etc. This is one for your MOH to get on to, be sure to pass our details over so that you know your Bridal Shower Signage & Stationery is all being created by the same team!
Keep in mind the Wedding Rehearsal Dinners usually do require their own Invitations and RSVP’s so again be timely with your order to allow enough time for these to be created and then posted to you and further onto your guest list.
06. Post Wedding – Wedding Thank You Cards
Order up to 2 months after your Wedding Date
Don’t leave this too late, you want to get your Wedding Thank You Cards out whilst it’s all still fresh and your guests are still talking about your amazing wedding. Double check your Wedding Guest List, ensure no one has moved since and order your Thank You Cards with us.
